Hi, i’m Trent. Nice to meet you!
I thoroughly enjoy documenting natural moments between couples, for them to have to look back on, and pass on, forever. Being the person responsible for capturing these ‘once in a lifetime’ moments can be scary for some, but for me it’s something I truly love.
I’ve been a photographer for over 10 years, originally starting out shooting nightclubs and events. It seems like so long ago now (probably because it is…), but honestly, it taught me so much about photography and working with different people in stressful environments (not to mention the things i’ve seen and the stories I now have).
These days, I still shoot the odd event here and there, and I really enjoy the calming nature of property and interior work, but the main focus for me is wedding and elopements.
I am originally from Melbourne, grown up in Brisbane, and am now based in Sydney.
I am coffee reliant, adventure seeking, music loving and insta creeping… not in a weird way, just in terms of the amount of time I spend on the platform! I’m addicted. It’s a visual platform, it makes sense right?! (At least that’s what I tell myself).I’m a sucker for clean, modern branding that makes me feel good inside. I become emotionally attached to products like it’s a severe problem. No, but seriously, if it looks cool, feels cool or smells cool - add to cart.
I first fell in love with photography after school, when I travelled to the United States for a holiday. I bought my first camera and shot anything and everything I could. The fact I could go on a holiday, the same as everybody else, but still document it in my own unique way, was, and continues to spark my creativity.
Over the years i’ve worked with various companies shooting events and socials, but there is nothing I enjoy more than shooting people in their natural environments. I’ve been able to develop my style of edit and continue to collaborate with brands. I also enjoy Travel and Lifestyle photography and I love how easy it is to share my images with the world. My images have also been featured by brands including Canon Australia, Buzzfeed, Squarespace, Adobe, Trello and various travel brands/social media accounts. My most shared photos (shown below), were taken from a helicopter over New York. But that’s enough about my work… what about you?
As much as it’s important for you both to get to know me as a person, it’s also super helpful for me to get to know you! I honestly believe the main barrier to capturing the most unique and candid images on your wedding day is allowing yourselves to be fully relaxed. A big factor to help with this is to get to know me. You’ll soon realise that I’m a fairly calm and relaxed soul and can definitely be awkward at times too, so no judgment here.
I know many photographers say ‘you’ll barely notice i’m there’, and for the most part this is true, but there will come a time for your bridal portraits and that will involve me standing awkwardly in front of you both taking images. I will never ask you to do anything you aren’t comfortable with and I strive avoid anything too ‘posey’, so you don’t have to worry there. I will let you both do whatever you feel is natural and will only correct things here or there when needed, to allow myself to get the best possible images for you. We will get to know each other as we go along prior to your wedding day, which will help to calm those nerves and result in truly amazing, natural images for you to both look back on forever.
What’s the next step? Head over to the online enquiry form, fill in your details and lets arrange a meet up! I can’t wait to hear all about how you first met.
